just do:
C:\>C:\mp4alsRM23win\mp4alsRM23.exe -MP4 C:\mp4als_out.wav
and try decoding output mp4 file with ffmpeg

Floating-point support of the decoder is part of the qualification task for the upcoming ALS GSoC project. A lot of work has already been done so it might hit HEAD in a short time.
