FATE (FFmpeg Automated Testing Environment) is an extended regression testing platform developed by FFmpeg.
It is splitted in to two parts:
- On the client side, it involves comparing the output with a reference file, and then compile (not in the programming sense) the results into a report.
- On the server side, the reports are aggregated from clients, and then displayed on http://fate.ffmpeg.org. The server software is hosted on git://git.ffmpeg.org/fateserverGitHub.
