No player I tried was able to show the video, but I think they're all ffmpeg based. Any specific ones I should try?

The file is a recording from tvheadend (4.1 git).

Afaict, this is a broken file that cannot be decoded (extradata missing).
Please reopen this ticket if there is software that can decode video for this sample.
