Could you please present these statistics by making your necessary changes, addings at the top of every page or its another page? Of course it is much more easier to encode the numbers in the blanks as editable all the time from your database on your server. Here it is:

FFMpeg is a universal multimedia toolkit that exists since ..., been encoded by ... developer, has ... code lines, been contributed by ... people, has ... libraries internal and external, has ... encoder and decoder, has ... demuxer, ... bugs of which have been fixed, been presented the patchwork for ... times.

P.S.: compn informed to me that "there was a site that collected some of that info."

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

Why do you want such info to be added to the site? It may be a bit of interesting trivia, but:

  • The info would change on every commit, and there are usually many commits per day.
  • The site itself does not use a database.
  • Some of this info can be viewed by cloning the repository and using git or by running a recent version of the cli tool, such as ffmpeg -encoders.
  • The site you mention is still there, although renamed, and provides some statistics, but I only looked for a few seconds and I'm not sure how accurate it is.

To speak for myself, I'm not interested enough in this task to get motivated to do it. We are just volunteers and we tend to work on what we want to work on with our limited time spent on this project. If someone really wants to do this they can re-open this ticket, but I'm going to be realistic and close it as wontfix.
