Description

Summary of the bug:

When decoding/remuxing an MPEG-TS (captured from DVB-S2 with a PVR), the message:

[NULL @ 0xb8cbbe0] Subtitles with data type 0x06 is not implemented. Update your FFmpeg version to the newest one from Git. If the problem still occurs, it means that your file has a feature which has not been implemented.

is spamming the console and making it useless for reading any other information.

This message was introduced in commit f9ab4fe1f7c1e9d410ca5ee2c9ff8d2892aad068 (with a subsequent edit in commit 61d8fa2a1ab76f0f3ac1442faa104ace4b29decc).

Note two big sections where I stripped 120 and 34 repetitions, respectively. And this is just 0.05 seconds of material.

Since patches should be submitted to the ffmpeg-devel mailing list and not this bug tracker, I am not attaching a patch. :-P What does work fine for me is wrapping the offending code:

in a block with a static "boolean" variable, as other sections in libavcodec do:

Follow-up question:
Do you still require a sample? I assume this is a very common DVB-S2 type stream.

The warning probably doesn't make sense at all, since any other values are not actually subtitles.

3 = DTV CC
4 = SCTE EIA-608
5 = SCTE pulse-amplitude modulated luma samples
6 = EBU bar data

Should probably just strip it.
