     17I was actually not talking about scaling or the software scaler at all: I just meant that I believe there is no flag in mpeg2video streams that tells you (reliably) if chroma is interlaced or not.

    1721This is not how FFmpeg works: It will default to a progressive scale, the user will have to specify if he wants an interlaced scale.
