Description

Summary of the bug:

Concat-ing h264 video file fails in git master version, but works in stable.

If you drop "-auto_convert 0", it works fine, too, but this incurs other issues in my use case and thus it's not appropriate workaround.

Playing or processing testsrc.mp4 itself (not via concat) works fine.

How to reproduce:

Your suggestion is irrelevant. This is a testcase with _single_ file. Stitchable flag is about concatenating several encoding sessions.

I believe it is not technically required to transform entire video to Annex B format just to transform it back to AVCC format in MP4 muxer immediately afterwards. If you could explain in which way this is necessary or beneficial, I'd be grateful to hear.

H.264 MP4s encoded with "-x264opts stitchable=1" are supposed to be validly concatenatable as I have stated above, have you read? It works in 2.8.6. Could you explain what is wrong with this?

For future tickets, please do not provide build scripts (and no scripts in general)

Please ignore what you do not need.
Building instructions are provided in comments just to stress the fact that it works in latest git master with no *special* options.
Terribly sorry if provided build instructions distract you to the degree of making this ticket invalid for you.

H.264-in-MP4 is braindead, this is the reason it is not supported for any advanced feature.

I'm not trolling, just curious.

There's no mention of this neither in runtime warnings nor in code comments, would a separate patch adding such warning (H264 + auto_convert=0) be welcome?

Anyway, I believe I have researched this specific issue deep enough to use a specific options set (h264-in-mp4, libx264 x264opts=stitchable=1, concat auto_convert=0) in production.
