Description

I could find a x264 bug!?

My smartphone is hTC 7 Mozart.
It supports .mp4 + H.264 + HE-AAC v2.

I rip three DVD by MeGUI with x264 and Nero AAC.
The x264 configuration is:
auto 2-pass + 800 Kbps + main profile + preset medium (I also tried "very fast")

I find all three movies have the video lag problem
such that audio and video are out of sync.
An amazing fact is that the video lag times are all between
the time interval 34:00-36:00 (seconds).
However, those files are played well without sync problem on PC.
After I change the x264 preset to ultra fast,
the sync problem also disappear on my phone.

The three DVD are:
It Happened In One Night
Funny Face
Scaramouche

The attached html shows the MediaInfo of "It Happened In One Night" with preset "very fast" and having the sync problem.

Could anyone explain this problem?

Thanks, cehoyos.

I have solved this video lag problem.
A person suggested me turning number of b-frame to 0.
After did that, set preset to medium and encoded the three movies by x264,
all were played well on my Windows Phone without the video lag problem.
